一、教学目的:
《综合英语1》是英语专业本科生的专业基础课,是一门训练学生综合英语技能,对学生的听、说、读、写、译,尤其是阅读理解、语法与基础写作能力进行训练的课程。本课程通过阅读和分析内容相对广泛的材料,主要是小的议论文或是一些含有文化背景的文章,帮助学生熟悉基本的语法知识、发展一定的读写的能力、形成一定的语言感觉,并在一定程度上训练学生的听说的能力,给学生提供良好的英语学习的氛围。本课程设置在英语专业本科教学基础阶段的第一年,强化语音、语调的训练,培养基本的听、说能力,但不忽视读和写,通过一年的教学使学生具有较强的听、说、读、写的能力以及基本的翻译能力,为今后的学习打下扎实的基础。
二、教学要求:
要求学生通过课堂学习及其它途径认知词汇达4500~5500左右,并能正确而熟练地运用其中的2000~2500个及其最基本的搭配;能就所听到的语段进行问答和复述,能就日常生活话题进行交谈,做到正确表达思想,语音、语调自然,无重大语法错误,语言基本得体;掌握主谓一致关系、表语从句、宾语从句、定语从句、状语从句等句型,以及直接引语和间接引语的用法、动词不定式和分词的用法、各种时态、主动语态、被动语态和构词法;能看一般英美报刊杂志上的社论和书籍,英语国家出版的有一定难度的文学作品,能掌握文章的主旨和大意,理解事实和细节;能在30分钟内写出长度为120-150个单词的短文,内容切题,条理清楚,语言正确,能改写或缩写课文内容,能正确书写便条和通知等应用文;能独立完成课程中的各种翻译练习,要求理解准确、语言通顺。
三、教学内容与学时安排: 第一学期 (96学时) 第一单元(7学时)

4. Ways, useful expressions and the etiquette of making and responding to an introduction or self-introduction.
5. Use and functions of linking words. 6. Writing format of a note of introduction.
