It seems that nowadays parents around the world are paying increasing attention to the physical health of their children. Apart from sending the kids to sports activities, some even claim that some of the time spent on studying should be spared for sports.

On the one hand, learning academic knowledge does play an important role in a child's future. It ensures that one can make a living even if he/she is not talented in many areas. However, that does not mean that children are supposed to do a lot of studying while doing less physical exercises. On the contrary, as playing games helps a child to stay physically fit, it is beneficial for one's learning.

On the other hand, research says that children who play sports tend to be in a mentally happier state of mind than those who do not. Such research explains that sports are a form of exercise that generates what is called happiness molecules in the body, thus restoring the mental health. Forget about these theories. One can easily realise how important doing sports is to people. It enhances children's physical strengths so that they will not feel tired even after a tough day of studying. When children are so exhausted after a long period of hard work, doing some exercises will prevent them from being overwhelmed.

Furthermore, making children do more sports activities may also help them develop relevant skills. Sometimes, kids who did a lot of sports may even become professional athletes.

In conclusion, doing more sports is quite essential for a children living in today's era, as it secures their physical and mental health and may even turn them into competitive sports players.
